Donelson Elementary Auction

As a newbie in the elementary school world, I was introduced to one of the big fundraisers at Donelson in November, the auction.  My role as a room mom includes putting an auction basket together made up of items contributed by Jack's class.  His teacher chose "Let Your Imagination Grow With Play Doh", so the class contributed Play Doh items to make up the basket.  We had enough to make 2 baskets, a boy basket and a girl basket.

In addition to the classroom baskets being sold, teachers volunteered themselves for lunches, bowling parties, etc., but in my opinion, we got the greatest item on the table that night.

Mrs. Townsend is my best friend dating back to high school, my college roommate and she only lives about 5 minutes away.  Movie play dates with her and Taylor are one of our favorite things to do, so it seemed pretty appropriate that I bid on this one.  We redeemed it over Christmas Break to see Monsters, Inc. and had a ball!  Who wouldn't pay $40 for a party with their best friend?
