Marshall at 12 & 13 Months

I just took Marshall to the doctor for his 1 year appointment, but he's really closer to 13 months than 12.  Here are his stats:

Length - 30 inches (50th-75th percentile)
Weight - 24.3 pounds (75th percentile)
Head - BIG (90th percentile, but didn't write down the exact measurements)

As compared to Jack at 1 year:

Length - 30 3/4 inches
Weight - 24 1/2 pounds
  • Has just about adjusted to 1 nap/day, but sometimes still requires 2.
  • Still sleeps through the night.
  • 7 teeth - 4 on top and 3 on bottom.
  • Drinks whole milk from a sippy 2-3 times/day along with juice and whatever is in Jack's sippy that he gets his hands and mouth on.
  • Says "Dada" and is trying to say "Daddy" (more like Daee without the 'd's); "Daaaaaaa" for "Jack"; "Mama", but only when he's upset (so typical, right?); "Hi!" and "Hey!"; "Dog", "Doggy" and "Duck"; "Nanana" for "No no".
  • Eats EVERYTHING!
  • Took his first steps today!!!  Just 2, but that's the most interest he's shown thus far.
Marshall is our climber.  Found him on top of this box right after UPS delivered it.  Of course, I went for my cell phone for a picture before making him get down.
Maybe a bit inappropriate, but this is our first picture of "Look, no hands, Mom!"
He is definitely living up to the second child reputation.  We are having to baby proof things Jack never touched and finding him places Jack never dreamed of climbing.  We had a scary moment with him this week when I found him in his crib with dried blood everywhere.  Apparently, he had a nose bleed during the night, so we are now running a vaporizer while he sleeps.  I must confess, my first thought was what has Jack done to him now?  Marshall adores Jack and for the most part, Jack adores him back, but they have their moments like I know all brothers do.
