Todd Christmas

The past few years we have started celebrating Christmas with Travis's family the weekend before.  It works great because the hustle and bustle hasn't begun yet and we can actually relax and enjoy each other rather than rush through opening gifts and eating to run off to the next event.  Here's a picture of the boys before opening gifts.
Here they are with Aunt Lindsey and future Uncle Chris.
Let the chaos begin!
I am so proud of this one.  At 4 years old, he has already learned that it is better to give than to receive.  While looking at his piles and piles of gifts and after being given permission to tear into them, he first looked at us and said "Papa D and Judy, we have presents for you.  Mommy, can they open our presents first?"  He wanted his grandparents to open their gifts first and when they did he turned to me, gave me a hug and said "Thank you, Mommy, for buying those for Papa D and Judy."  He has the most pure and sincere of hearts.  That story is Jack.
Both boys got new goggles for their 4-wheeler.

 Even the dogs got gifts.

The boys practicing on their new sleds.

Daddy and Marshall taking a rest.  Notice his wearing a different outfit than when he began.  Aunt Lindsey gave him pajamas that he insisted on wearing as soon as he opened them.
What a great start to our holiday family festivities.  Sunday we just relaxed and napped before driving back to Memphis with Judy in tow.  She stayed with us for a few days to keep the boys while we worked and we all thoroughly enjoyed her.  Thanks, Papa D, Judy, Chris and Lindsey for all the goodies and thank you Judy for all of your help!
