A family friend of ours got married in Destin last weekend and since it conveniently fell during the boys' fall break, we decided to take a short beach trip leading up to the wedding. Unfortunately, as it got close to time to leave Travis got busy at work and couldn't go. My mom and sister were planning on going all along and we also invited my 17 year old cousin, who was our junior bridesmaid 7 1/2 years ago. My how time flies! It was a quick trip. We drove down on Thursday and had to leave Sunday, which left one day for the beach and one day for the wedding with a little shopping on the side.
I never get tired of beach pictures and neither do this blog's biggest fans, the grandparents, so here are a few million for you to enjoy.
We actually stayed in Gulf Breeze. It's only a little over an hour from Destin and we wanted to spend some extra time with Dani and Nelson. They joined us at the beach on Friday and then we all went to dinner together that night. I know Mom really enjoyed catching up with them.
DeeGee was a dream to have with us. We didn't bring her as a babysitter, but she played with the kids so much and was a big help. She is such a sweet, sweet girl and I loved getting to spend all the extra time with her.
While you can't see it in the picture, Marshall is hiding a baby bump! MiMi and Luke are having a baby and I couldn't be more excited to be an aunt or for the boys to have a cousin! She's due May 17th.
