We didn't make it to the beach until late in the afternoon, but that ended up being a pretty good plan for us because we just walked to a restaurant for dinner and when we headed back we were ready for bed. Here are some pictures from our first day at the beach. Marshall loved the sand.
We ate at Crabs that night, which has become Jack's favorite restaurant on Pensacola Beach because of the talking parrot that sits out front, their honey buns and their play ground. Most of the restaurants here have play grounds in the sand, which is another reason we like walking straight to dinner off the beach rather than taking the kids back to wash up just to get sandy again. This night we weren't seated anywhere near the play ground, which disappointed the kids, but they had a man racing hermit crabs right below us and that was pretty entertaining for them.
This isn't the best picture, but the boys slept together in the guest room the entire trip, which worked out great once we finally got them to sleep. Quite honestly, I loved every minute of laying in between them at bedtime reading them stories and then listening to their giggles.
