Fishing at Herb Parsons

We finally put our fishing poles to use.  The boys and I gave Travis a fishing pole and some tackle for Father's Day last year.  Everything we have to fish with is in Paris or Martin and we wanted to be able to take the boys fishing in Memphis as well.  Jack also got a Cars fishing pole for his birthday last summer and the Easter Bunny dropped a matching one off for Marshall the weekend before Easter so he wouldn't feel left out.  It was a windy day, so we weren't expecting to catch much, but it was also a beautiful day, so just being outside together was enough.  Here's how the day went.  Travis got Jack set up first and the boys patiently watched.

Marshall sat with Jack to see how it's done.
Then it was Marshall's turn.

Before Travis could even cast his line, Jack had lost his worm.  Then Marshall lost his worm.
Then Marshall lost his patience.
And the day was over.  Two hours of fishing and just a few lost worms.  Nobody around us was catching anything either.  The boys had fun.  We made some memories and took some great pictures.  We will definitely be returning to Herb Parsons this summer.
