Teton Trek, the new exhibit at the zoo, opened this month and we've been dying to take Jack. This was our first free weekend in awhile, so we headed there first thing yesterday morning. The weather was beautiful, a little on the cool side, but better that than hot and there wasn't much of a crowd. Travis hadn't been to the zoo with us since this time last year, so Jack has been talking all week about taking Daddy to the zoo. For whatever reason, he decided he wanted his daddy to eat an elephant. Thank goodness, he forgot about that request before we made it to the elephants yesterday. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Are the pandas ever in their outside exhibit? If you can't tell, this guy was sacked out. His friend was in the other cage curled up as well.

The gorilla looked truly ticked that Travis was taking his picture and would actually look at Travis then shake his head.

Both of the Todd boys (Travis and Jack, Marshall yet to be seen) are hot blooded. They shared a grape snocone while I sipped on hot chocolate. You can see it dripping off of Jack's face. I wish we had a shot of his entire face.

Here is a video of Jack watching the sea lions. He told me last night that was his favorite part of the day.
Jack and Daddy checking out the grizzleys in the new exhibit.
There are also wolves in the new exhibit. Jack and Travis talked all week about what wolves say and we love hearing Jack howl. When we got to the wolves and they weren't howling, Travis told him that wolves are nocturnal and mostly howl at night. Last night at bedtime, Jack and I were talking about all the animals we saw at the zoo and I told him I didn't hear the wolves howling. He looked at me matter-of-fact-like and said "No, they howl at night." His memory amazes me!
And finally, Jack and the giraffes. Poor guys will never be Jack's favorite because he hasn't forgotten that they got his papese. In fact, he told me just this week he was going to get it back.
